OMG cuteness overload!
There are 16 designs split into 4 categories; ‘for little ladies’, ‘wild thing!’, ‘sporty & cheeky’ and ‘summer, sun & sandals’. Even as a beginner crocheter, I think these look very do-able, so I just had to shout about it.
Search Press say;

16 cute crocheted baby shoe designs modelled on grown-up shoes

This lovely little book contains 16 beautifully designed and made shoes for both baby boys and girls, modelled on grown-up shoe styles. Each design is accompanied by a lovely, styled photograph of the shoe with the adult equivalent in the background, and step-by-step instructions of how to make the shoe.

There is a crochet basics section at the beginning with step-by-step instructions on commonly used crochet stitches, colour changing techniques, joining techniques and basic crochet charts for sizes 0-3 months, 3-6 months and 6-9 months.

 The designs themselves are based on adult shoes such as trainers, ballet shoes, pumps, espadrilles, Mary Janes, cowboy boots and strappy sandals and the patterns are clear and easy to follow. The designs are simple enough for competent beginners, though attractive and interesting enough to inspire more advanced crocheters. They are perfect projects to make with oddments of yarn, very quick to crochet and make great gifts for new babies.

Have you seen this new book from Apple Press?
I’ve long said that knitting helped me as a personal therapy not so long ago, so it’s no surprise that other crafts can be too… what I love about this book is that it merges the idea of being ‘good to yourself’ with simple crochet patterns.
Apple Press say;

Crochet Therapy is a unique and accessible craft book designed to combine the art of crochet with practical mindfulness techniques to bring moments of calm to your everyday life. The rhythmic skills and colorful repeating patterns created by crochet help to both relax you and encourage greater focus on the present—a vital element of mindfulness theory, which improves mental wellbeing.

Patterns include beautiful crocheted mandalas with zen-like circular designs as well as other simple motifs designed to help engage you in a series of meditative exercises. Alongside these patterns are further mindfulness activities, designed to compliment the therapeutic effect of crocheting and boost your health and well-being. With the help of this book, crocheting can become an effective tool to manage stress on a daily basis, whilst also allowing you to impress family and friends with your creations.
